Still sold used and by some resellers, and still one of the best 6K panels for colour-critical Mac work.

Is 6K overkill for a MacBook Pro?

For a single-display MacBook Pro setup, 5K at 27 inch is usually the wise choice: it costs less and gives the same pixel density. 6K makes sense when you want the extra canvas for video editing, photography or CAD, and it pays off most alongside a Mac Studio.
