Per FTC guidelines and the Amazon Associates Operating Agreement, this is our full disclosure of how RetinaDesk makes money. The relationships we have with manufacturers and what we will and will not do.

Amazon Associates

RetinaDesk is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. It is an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.

All the links on this site marked with a shopping cart icon. In some places labeled "Check price on Amazon". Those external links are affiliate links. If you click one of this links and then make a purchase on Amazon then within 24 hours we will receive a small commission. The amount is typically 1 to 3% on monitor purchases. This does not increase your price by any means.

What we commit to

• Every single affiliate link is marked with rel="sponsored nofollow" as per Google's guidelines
• We never accept payment in exchange for a ranking. Also never respond to any request for a positive review or a specific phrasing.
• We disclose affiliate relationships in our website footer of every page. And also mentioned at the bottom of every product review
• All the listed product rankings are based on editorial judgment and not on affiliate commission rates
• If a manufacturer sends us a review unit then we will disclose it at the top of that specific review

What we don't do

• Accept sponsored reviews or any type of pay for placements
• Modify rankings based on affiliate program commission rates
• We never publish a product review without direct hands on experience with current Macs
• We don't recommend products that we don't personally buy at our own expense

Discontinued products

A product can be discontinued by its manufacturer after we review it. In that case, we keep the review online for reference. But mark it as discontinued in the listing. We may drop it from rankings where purchase is the real goal. And update the structured data so that search engines reflect its availability status. The Apple Pro Display XDR was discontinued by Apple in March 2026. It is one of the example. The review remains as a reference in our website but not as a live purchase recommendation.

Review units and loans

Most monitors in our coverage are borrowed from different shops. When a manufacturer sends a review unit in a short or long term loan then we disclose it in the individual review. Receiving a review unit does not affect rating or ranking.
